This young writer's animal report is a helpful way to introduce a beginning writer to the task of writing a report: research, note taking, sentence writing, and compiling drawings or photos into a finished report!
 
It's super easy: choose which version of the animal report you would like your student to complete; there is one version with beginning prompts - less writing for the student - as well as one version with no beginning prompts - student does all the writing.
 
Print the note pages and the animal report pages.
 
Help student research the chosen animal, filling in the note pages with the information you find.
 
Use the note pages to write the final animal report.
 
Draw or print pictures for each page of the report.
 
That's it!  Your student's first report is done!
