The purpose of "The Heart Chart" is to help children see the connection between their behavior and what is going on in their heart. If they can learn to evaluate what sin is in their heart, and what God’s Word says about it, then they can begin to learn to control their emotions and behavior. With the help of the chart you will first discuss what happened; second what they were feeling; third, what they did with that feeling; fourth, whether or not what they did with that feeling was right or wrong in God’s eyes; fifth, determine what sin was controlling their heart at that moment; sixth, make a plan of what God would want them to do instead the next time; seventh, repent and pray. Verses on the back of the chart are used to help learn what God says about our feelings and behavior. The chart is available in two different designs - one for ages 3-7 and one for 8+ (both included in download).
